AppShelf
See every installed Windows app as an icon grid, with details, shortcuts and a light or dark look.
- Everything in one grid. Every app from Start → All apps, desktop and Store apps alike, in A–Z sections with instant search.
- The details you look for. Path, version, publisher, install date, size and uninstall command. Click any line to copy it.
- Desktop shortcuts. Add shortcuts to the desktop for one or many apps; existing shortcuts are never overwritten.
- Yours to set up. Light or dark, apps per row, icon size, start with Windows and stay in the tray.
- Tiny. About 95 KB, no install and no runtime download.
Features
- Icon grid
- Every app in Start → All apps, desktop and Store apps, as a grid of icons in A–Z sections. Filter by All, Desktop or Store.
- Search
- Just start typing, or press Ctrl+F. Esc clears, F5 refreshes.
- Details
- Double-click an app for its path, version, publisher, install date, size, uninstall command and package info. Click any line to copy it.
- Actions
- Open, open file location, or add a desktop shortcut, for one app or a multi-selection (Ctrl or Shift).
- Shortcuts done right
- Copies the original Start menu shortcut when there is one, otherwise links to the app the same way dragging it from Start does. Existing shortcuts are never overwritten.
- Light and dark
- Follows the Windows theme, or pick light or dark yourself.
- Settings
- Apps per row, icon size, A–Z sections, start with Windows, and minimize or close to the tray. The window size and position are remembered too.
Installing
- Windows
- Download AppShelf.exe and run it. It uses .NET Framework 4.x, which comes with Windows 10 and 11. Settings are kept in %APPDATA%\AppShelf.
